I have found something interesting today. A old man was selling some of his stuff at a local tavern. An old marchand as I understand it. There were nothing of value, mostly junk, Old thing that have been rusting in his home for years. Stuff like farming tool, nail, cloth. Thing like that, but one of those thing stand up from the rest. A very old map of this land. He said that he got it from his father that got it from is father and on and on. True be told, I don’t know if it is true, but I couldn’t care less. He was asking only 3 copper pieces for it and I was curious, so I bought it to compare it with my own. That ‘s when I saw the difference. This map is either very, very outdated, or it is simply false because most of the village and place I know are not shown on it. I find it quite curios and strange. The map doesn't’ feel fake. It was draw on an animal skin like other parchment. It show a lot of wear and tear, but the information on it doesn't’ match with what I was expecting. The only way I know how to be sure of it validity is to go to at least one of those new place to see if it really exist.
Lucky for me, there is one place not far from where I am that could to the trick. It a place called “Village of Anima”. If the map is correct, there should be a village there, or at least the remain of one.

Well I be damn, the map is a genuine! There is the remain of a village at that location and it is huge! It must have been beautiful in the time of his prime, but now. There is only rubble and ruins. Mold and vegetation are taking over the buildings and everything else that was left behind. Normal ruin stuff, but even if I have seen alot of those, I can’t help to feel that there is something strange about this place. Why was it abandon? Where did the people go and must importantly. Why didn’t I learn about this place elsewhere. A place this huge don’t go away like that! It must as been really old and even that. Nobody found this place before me? I find it hard to believe... I should make camp and rest for the day, but before, I will check a bit more deeper in the village after a short break. I most know what’s up with that place.
The state of the village is even worse that I thought. Everything is in ruin. Even if the immense thick wall are in a pitty stage. The walls showed heavy burns as if someone try to burn the stone. Most of it seemed to be destroyed, there big hole everywhere and must of the defensive tower are now nothing but rubble. The inside of the fortification isn’t better. The houses are marked by the burns caused by fires that affected the stone many years ago. The wooden foundations, reduced to ashes that the wind must have dicipate a long time ago. I can’t say what happened to the inhabitants of this village, but one thing is certain. This village has been through a siege, I have no doubt.
Otherwise, I didn’t find much in this village, I must admit that it is very disappointing. Everything seems to have been burned and reduced to ashes and what has not been burned, has probably already been stolen. I have found remnants of campsites and traces of looting in the village. They probably took everything of value, but I am still surprised. Looters don’t normally take scrolls or books. It has no value for them but they burn so maybe it is that. I hope not, it would be a shame to not know what happen here. The night is coming, time to set up my camp. I will got back tomorrow to continue my search.
