Not the way it was planned... But things always work out in the end.
This year the juicy surprise was a little.. different.
Turns out.. a certain naughty little kitty still was a little grumpy about the spiked punch last year.. and as a little bit of "innocent" payback, she decided to instead spike a couple drinks herself, to make things even.
What she might or might not have known however, is that the day she decided to get her revenge also just so happened to be the same day I decided I wanted to take a big soft swan out for a date through the city.. you know, just a relaxing little evening with a sweet birb.
And while the swelling was very light at first, it didn't take long for it to start becoming more and more noticeable which.. admittedly, did make my other plans a bit.. awkward, if anything..
Either way.. it seemed like, even with all the swelling and panic of becoming heavy and purple in public.. said swan was more than happy to accept! And then we got the chance to continue our little date while we still could move through the streets. Although, when it came down to our feet leaving the ground.. we might have needed a liiiittle help staying close to each other~
In the end, it all came down to holding hands, and taking a little swim in the nearest lake.. and it doesn't matter if we continue to float and become a cute landmark, or if people will just let us float for as long as we're round, one thing's for certain, we know that things can always turn out for the better.
Sooo.. this was originally just a little doodle of a squirrel with a bigger butt that turned into a long four parter sequence.. whew, again, not planned ahead, but still pleasant!
This whole thing wouldn't have happened without
Tulip~'s ideas though, she was the one that came up with the whole proposal scenario and we collaborated on the ideas for each stage of the sequence. She also owns the juicy swan I was swelling with on this, Alice! As well as the naughty little kitty that caused all this to happen, Ezzy!

The idea of the third panel is fun;l big swollen round berry balloons would totally need friends to roll them together for hugs! Heehee, don't roll 'em too quickly n' suddenly or they might kinda bounce into each other >w<
