Still lazy to draw somthing :|
Instead I'll just share my joy over this new engine! I love it! I just wanna share one of the events that made me a big fan of the 4G63.

For months that felt like years, I was busy turning my rickety old car into something formidable; something that would not be left behind in the dust by modern marvels of engineering. The 4G63 I long wanted was finally in after all these years. With it I was hoping that my goals be reached. Given the stronger power plant, additional modifications were made to make my baby handle it. A roll cage was fitted and ventilated disk brakes were put into the mix. Yet I still have no tachometer, oil gauges, still had rear drum brakes, and my 5 speed tranny isn't communicating well with my engine (requiring me to learn the double clutch heel-toe downshift). But the moment of truth was here. History waits for no one. Subic... The Last Lap... It was happening... now... Whether I'm ready or not!
Going to Subic was no different than our previous ACE convoys. But now I had a 2.0L under my bonnet. SCTEX was in front of us. It was wide. It was open. It was time for a top speed run. I let the guys go first as I lagged behind. I don't want to run into anybody if I do reach my hypothetical top speed of 247kph. That was hypothetical. This is reality. I glued my right foot to the floor. To my dismay, the hypothetical top speed remained hypothetical. I knew this would happen. I mean, it's a box! My main enemy reared it's ugly head. Aerodynamics! I reached a speed of around 190kph before I literally felt the hand of the wind gods slap the front of my car into submission. On the plus side, the box was stable at those speeds.
Forget the SCTEX. What are we here for? We're here for The Last Lap. This is the last 15 mins we would ever spend with an old friend; a friend that was always there to teach us the tools of the trade amidst it's dangerous walled corners. I removed everything unnecessary from my car before we were called to have our share of Subic for the last time.I wasn't totally ready. But there was no turning back now.
Warm up lap was done. There I was, 3rd on the grid. I was strapped to my seat in my machine, almost half of which was made by my own two hands. All those blood, sweat, and tears were down to his moment. It was quiet. Literally quiet. I let the beast roar it's battle cry resulting in the awakening of others around me. I was amongst friends, which at the moment, also my competitors. Engine Revs filled the air. GREEN! I launched my car the best I could. Being RWD, I had the advantage. I jumped between the two cars in front of me and charged into the 1rst corner like I used to before. That's the problem. My car isn't what is used to before. I forgot I had almost twice the power I had before which lead to me coming in too hot. Boom. The tail started to come loose. I counter steered. It was looking good. It looked like I was gonna save it.The car straighrtened out. Imediatly I turned the wheel left again to follow the curvature of the corner. Too soon though as the car wasn't stable yet when I turned left again. The tail stepped out again and this time I wan't able to save it. I laughed inside at my feeble attempt and watch to the guys as they passed me. Crap. All that hard work at the Launch and I'm back to square one. I have to gain back possistion. I guned it once more, but this time with more finesse. By the time we reached the bus stop chicane, I was right back on the pack's tail. When we reached the 1st half of the back strait, I overtook the Accord and out braked 2 Lancers by the time we got to the hairpin. On the 2nd part of the back straight I passed a Civic FD and just before the chicane, I dove in on our H22 Accord and out braked him as well. Pretty good for a car with no brakes. Then on to the main straight. There was a considerable gap to the next civic. But by the time we got to the 1st corner, I was right on him. I waited for a good time to pass and did just that. Then, it was time for the real battle. The Subaru WRX which was piloted by non other than Aurick Go (the 1st runner up of the TUazon Top Driver Challenge I competd with a few years back) was ahead. He was filtering through the cars I was also overtaking moments back. Now that we broke free from the traffic. It's game time! Hairpin, he braked, I braked a little later taking advantage of my lightweightedness. On the exit, his 4wd kicks in and gets a better exit than me. We reapeated this through out the lap. My lightweight vs. his 4wd system. By the time I thought to myself that I can dive on him on the last hairpin, by brakes strated to fade dramatically. I aborted my attempt. Looks like I'm done for. Amazingly, one corner later, his hazards turned on. Apparently, his brakes were also fading dramatically already. I passed him since he pulled to the side. As I did, I turned on my hazards as well. I can't really tell who won. Well, the real question was, was it really a competition? All I know was that was the most fun I had on the track!
The Last Lap! Subic International Raceway, you will be missed! Thank you for the most wonderful lap of my life!
