For what I'm planning on being my last Gen 4 playthrough before the remakes come out in November, I did another single Pokemon playthrough, and this time, I beat Pokemon Platinum with just a Magnezone named Zonester!

For this one, I really wanted to use a Steel type since Steel is easily one of the types I've used the least over the years, and Magnemite is also one of the few common Gen 1 Pokemon that I've never really used up until now. I also used a different method for obtaining Zonester than I did with all my previous single Pokemon playthroughs, because this time I actually traded him over as an egg and hatched him at the beginning of the game instead of catching or receiving him. Funnily enough, his parents are a Magnemite named MamaMagnet that I transfered up from a recent playthrough I did of Sapphire, and his father is a Ditto I caught in SoulSilver named Papa D, meaning he has a parent from both Hoenn and Johto but he himself was born and raised in Sinnoh. I also really wanted to test out passing down egg moves since that's one other thing I've never really messed around with, and he ended up being born with both Thunderbolt and Thunder Wave that were passed down from MamaMagnet, which was pretty cool.

As for how the playthrough went, it was probably the easiest of all the Gen 4 ones of these I done so far, but I did once again cheat a little and trade over the rest of my Gen 4 single Pokemon playthrough team to beat the league because Cynthia's Garchomp kept murdering me with Earthquake despite me having Sturdy... for some reason. Also, I now officially have an entire team of Pokemon I've done these playthroughs with in Gen 4, so that's pretty cool :3
