This is apparently a pretty rare bird. When Griswold Signal bought Magnetic Flagman post WWII and moved manufacturing to Minnesota Wigwags were largely being phased out by local codes. Thus the ones with Minneapolis, Minn on the casting are unusual to find. This one no longer guards a crossing, and is right outside of the Niles, CA freight house.
