"You see it all the time on furry websites, chat clients and Second Life. Perfectly sculpted bodies, thin-but-muscular or slim-yet-curvy builds, impossible body types. That NONE of us have in real life. If we do, we're in the vast minority.
So I challenge you, FA. Take a photo of yourself, fully clothed or in your skivvies. Trace your body type and marks exactly, blemishes, scars and all. Then apply your character to the form. Let's see what the REAL face of FA is."
Not like I draw LT any other way other than realistic, but this time I decided to trace my body.
And I'm a big, loud, PROUD to be a FAT fur!

TAH-THANK YOU JEEBUS!!!! *bows low and offers handshake*
THIS is EXACTly what I've been bitching about for a loooooong time. Fantasy is fine, healthy even, like anything else in moderation with reality. But LONG long ago I got so tired of seeing the entirity of the fandom being overstuffed with 7 foot tall wolf-men sculpted like Shwarzenheimmel or Jeebus-ripped foxbois or Bunny/dragon/cat-chicks built like Jessica rabbit. Fursonas are or at least WERE supposed to represent the self in a fantastic way, but still only represent the self, not replace it. Soo much generic fantasy with no sense of self any longer, people being lost in their "characters" an entire group existing almost completely vicariously.
But THIS!! This is nice, oh indeed, this is awesome. If you never do another piece of art it will not matter to me. You have won der stinkduivil over, m'love.

Thank you so very much! I appreciate your kind comments. :)
I know exactly what you mean. I get pretty tired of all the uber-bodied fursonas myself.
I tried to make a comic with a "normal bodied" fur too, if you're interested!

Absolutely lovely. There are many of us who love women with these sorts of curvy, cuddly bodies, and I applaud you for always drawing yourself as you really are. I admit even though I make my fursona a little pudgy and plump but it does fall a little short of the full reality, of course it has been a while since my ref pic was drawn, I think I really was that size back then.
Thank you! Years ago when I was developing my fursona, I thought about drawing myself as a thin version of myself. But about that same time, I was getting hugely fed up with dieting, shaming, and being told I'm ugly and unhealthy and worthless because I'm fat.
So I paint me as I am, warts and all!

"Warts and all" while a classic expression may not be the most accurate in this situation. While I realize it is possible I am not aware of anyone for whom warts are actually a positive thing, preferring them to no warts, while I think it's clear here there are many of us who prefer someone with your build over someone with the build of say... Elle MacPherson (named third most beautiful woman by askmen.com)
Gotta give natural bodies some love!
Most of my characters have similar looks too. My muscular ones have meat on 'em but they're not ripped. There's some padding there. Also my others get fat but not insanely obese. Mine are all within reason.
In fact my current primary face, Ladon DWolf, does have my RL build.
