A more appropriate title might be "Boogie Bird", as our subject is standing next to a "boogie board", which is kind of like a surfboard's smaller, foamy cousin, BUT I LIKE MY RANDOM SONG REFERENCES, so "Surfin' Bird" it is. :D

In the background (albeit kinda hard to make out at web resolution) are a black chocobo on a boogie board, a blue chocobo chillin' beneath a beach umbrella, and a red chocobo on a surfboard. (This may or may not be horribly inaccurate for the the breeds; my memories of FF7 are not strong, and our rental at the Outer Banks had very very slow, puny Internet access, so instead of researching it properly, we just spun the color wheel and had fun with the concept.)

Perhaps someday, I will understand just why it is that Jen + Beach = CHOCOBOS.
This may well be the fourth year running that I've done this sort of thing. (This year I actually had time to draw two - but the second is still just inks for now, until Indigo's watercolors are left undefended once more.)
