Genesis or "Gene" is a Shadow Gallade and is a very early Shadow Pokemon. He was also and early Shadow Pokemon to regain his sanity. He has collected others who have regained their cognizance and has attempted to rehabilitate other feral Shadow Pokemon. (although very, very rarely achieved) He is a passive Pokemon and would rather talk himself out of a situation than fight, but there are very few opportunities for a Shadow Pokemon to plead for its life. So he must fight.
His Shadow abilities are highly focused and powerful allowing him to mega evolve when he taps into Shadow energy from a well.
He prefers not to move his flock very much, but always has their group stay around these energy wells.

When he was out on a bit of an exploring trip with one of his flock (Umbra: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42865796/) they were ambushed by a group of hunters and he was forced to defend Umbra and himself. During the skirmish he had his arm severely wounded and nearly severed from his body which could not be saved.
This, however, has not slowed the Gallade down at all as his strong Shadow abilities have allowed him the capabilities to spawn an arm of pure Shadow energy which he can use and function as long as he has the strength.
