I've had the luxury of being able to spend more time than usual on my longterm projects, and things finally started to fall into place. Jehnassis is a story about the intersection of Art, Philosophy, Mathematics, and Science. It explores questions that don't necessarily have an answer using those four areas as its lens, and tries to find a viewpoint greater than the sum parts of the whole.
Why furries? I always found it fascinating how we start life learning lessons in allegory with animal characters and stories. I've been privileged through my non-art career to witness this across the world- animal teachers exist on every continent in every culture and at every recorded point in time. They tend to drop off once we leave our youth and outgrow their presentation, but I couldn't stop thinking about reapplying the approach for the bigger questions we come up against in our young adult and adult years. This is what Jehnassis is all about- the "furries" reflect ourselves.
WIP! Next step is to polish and complete the shading/highlighting, but all visual pieces here will be present in the final pic. I'll link my website once I get this finished and finally go live after literal decades of trying to figure this idea out - stay tuned! :3
