A trade with 
sapphire_talnoth, who asked for a picture of his fire wolf character, Malachai. So this picture came to mind.
Fiddled around with some of the filters on Photoshop that I've never used before to try to help get the flame effect. Unfortunatly, I epicly failed on doing fire on this >.>

Pretty good, Trent! Give mixing colors to create a patchy undertone, nothing too extreme a try, then use the smudge tool to create flames, burn and dodge for highlights, perhaps some red on overlay to get parts of the flame hotter than others, and finish with a nice shimmer around the area, making sure to light the surrounding area. ^^ That's how I'd do it, at least, but you done good! xD

I've never tried using photoshop before for effects liek this, thats why it looks so noobish and lacking in detail. I wanted to make it look all nice, and at least semi-realistic, but my art skills on photoshop are soooo lacking. Thats why I have so many photoshop tutorials on my computer X3

im glad you like it, cuz it didn't come out like I had in my head, but thats because I don't know how to really do good looking flame sin photoshop. But im glad you like it ^^
