This is what I loved about Germany: There's just so much GREEN!! I live in Michigan, and it's quite green as well, but it's pretty much flat, and much of it is marshy swamp, so you don't often get to take in the view and understand just how green it is. But the parts of Germany I visited (Just the south, I'm sad I never got to see Northern Germany) was super mountainous (Something that was completely new to me) and you could see a sea of green, and there in the distance a tiny pocket that was a small town or city. The other thing I love about Germany is how the very old and the very new live in perfect harmony as it were. Here in the states if somthing gets old, we don't save it, we destroy it and build an outlet mall where it was, but in Europe the old buildings just get converted into outlet malls, so when you go about your daily biz you get to see ancient ruins! I love Germany needless to say. Totally awesome place, an amazingly fascinating culture, and Home of the greatest Beers in the World...possibly the Universe.
