"Despite the temporary blindness, Long can't help but hide a smile in admiration for young Stunner. To look to unorthodox methods in order to outmaneuver one's opponent is always an admirable approach to combat, especially on one so young. Pikans shows great promise as a fighter.

While, again, his non-traditional use of Light Screen is to be commended, it leaves a dangerously large opening for someone who has trained to be more dependent on physical moves, such as himself. And so Long finds himself pointing out this flaw to Stunner in the most painful of manners - an IRON TAIL attack."
Once again I'm late to respond to
ebonyleopard's challenge, but here we go. I had an exceptionally hard time deciding on what move to counter with, until I remembered a rather embarrassing fact about Long: once upon a time, he started life as a clone of sorts for Ash's Pikachu. While I swear on my drawing hand that this version is *not* a pika-clone of anyone anymore, remembering that did remind me that Ash's Pikachu learns Iron Tail late in the series and I figured...why not?
Yeah, alot of jibber-jabber for a half-assed pic, but screw it. Once again, photo reference was somewhat used for poses, had to look to one of my plushies for the bending tail.

And actually, before, I was gonna have the guy use Brick Break, fighting-type move made solely for breaking apart 'walls' like Light Screen...but couldn't make it work to my liking visually, so I opted for this instead. Also less humiliating, I think (Long doesn't want to humiliate the kid, after all!)

There's actually other physical moves that Pikachu/Raichu can learn. For example, my Raichu, Pachu, knows the move Focus Punch, and I also taught him Mega Kick back when he was a Pikachu, but I deleted the move.

Well the problem wasn't so much deciding on a physical move, but deciding on a move that a) would not be too hindered by Light Screen (sure, you say that's 'duh' now, but it took me a while anyway!), b) would look awesome to see being done by an anthro and c) would look cool coming from a kickboxer/Muay Thai fighter type. I dunno, one of those moments when I kept making mountains out of Digglet hills, I guess :P
