Actually, I'm not sure that's Miss Lemon at all (though I could be wrong)... Poirot had an acquaintance who appeared in a couple of the novels, a lady who wrote mystery novels; she was a self-caricature of Dame Christie herself. Can't remember the character's name offhand, but that's who the figure reminds me of.
