Frankly, nothing quite tops a good bowl of shoyu ramen (apart from the soft-boiled egg, obviously).

Huh. Didn't realize ramen was a big thing. I've always thought of it as bottom-of-the-barrel food. Then again, seeing it on grocery store aisles has clouded my view of it.

Just now came across this, but you're definitely thinking specifically of instant ramen which is nothing like the real stuff (it's like comparing Totino's frozen pizza to high quality pizza). A lot goes into making a tasty traditional ramen, and is definitely not a bottom-of the-barrel food (heck, I'd put it above most American cuisine in general, to be honest) It takes a lot of time (often days), effort, and skill to make a good ramen (traditionally) and I've never risen above mediocrity in my own pursuits to create it, it's just too time consuming for me, personally. That said, pasta of any kind isn't for everyone, although I'd take a good ramen over most Italian pasta dishes any day. (plus, it's a lot cheaper which is a plus)

Soo cute and awesome. Love the “Wha” look from Bishop and feel like the same energy when I’m a ramen shop with friends. Anyway, Keep up the good work ^.^
