A Fox and Her Rabbit
Pete is timid around strange carnivores. The first time he sees Flora, he nearly faints in panic. However, as he observes her in class with her wood mouse friend Cynthia, she seems gentle, not blood-thirsty like his parents told him. Finally, he works up the courage to talk to her, and before long, they're nearly inseparable. Flora is a carnivore Pete can trust.
Flora is a gray fox, and Pete is a domestic rabbit. This couple first appeared in my second novel, wherein Flora is introduced as Ellie's friend. In my third novel, I wrote about how Flora and Pete met and got together in undergrad.
