Here, I'm experimenting with some actual Baroque music! I heard an electronic version of this piece on a Youtube video, and it made my Baroque radar tingle either because I'd heard the piece before (I'm sure I have!) but also because it sounded so incredibly Baroque and I was fascinated to find more examples of electronic remixes of Baroque music. I was inspired, given my current line of experimentation and research, to attempt a remix of the same song for my own! It's, uh, not as good as the original remix I found here but I feel like it's cool in its own right. And hey, it's experience for me.

The orignal piece was a collection of variations on a theme following a popular chord progression of the time, essentially. I decided to follow that, keeping my 'orchestration' fairly simple but playing around with it over the different variations. I also wanted to communicate the 'timelessness' I feel from the original, so I didn't change too much stuff up. So, you're not going to hear any mind-blowing production or sound design techniques, but I do hope that what I did do is interesting. So enjoy!
