Remember that salamander guy with a Death Stranding-inspired lore? I shelved him for a while because his lore was not satisfactory. Taking inspiration from Death Stranding, Uboat and SCP-1861, he's back as Akula.

Akula is as much of an enigma as he is ubiquitous. He's the captain and master of a Russian nuclear submarine that is bound to the Beach. It is able to submerge into the land of the dead and surface almost anywhere in a pool of blood and tar, behaving a lot like SCP-1861. Akula himself is like a Davy Jones in this world, and the sub is his Flying Dutchman. He ferries and recruits the dead onto his crew, though it is not certain for what purpose. Most believe he is in an active conflict against another force.

Despite his fit and youthful appearance, Akula has the personality of a veteran sailor. He has a grizzled and wise demeanor, while hiding an explosive temper if his buttons are pushed right. He feels both a sense of duty and personal pleasure in what he does. He views his role as an undead captain as a negative and positive; He and his sub are bound to prowl the dark waters of the Beach for all eternity, but he gets the opportunity to explore other worlds and cultures along the way.
