My buddy Ren definitely does really good work with these. Won this handsome lad in an auction. I was honestly hoping I’d get outbid because I wanted my buddy to get as much money as possible for him. I’m still absolutely happy that I got him though.

Same here. My buddy definitely makes some amazing characters when the inspiration hits them.
My character Breki is a prime example of that. I just gave the species, gender and the colors I wanted with the couple requests of his paws being blue and his eyes being green and I left the rest to them. I love how he came out, especially after I was able to get him his official ref sheet.

Designing beautiful and striking characters is the most difficult part of being an illustrator, in my case I consider that it is also my greatest strength, but making reference sheets seems tedious, since the character must be perfect

Totally agree, especially if you want a character to sell. That’s a good strength to have.
It definitely is. You gotta make sure you have every detail right, include their likes and dislikes and even a bit of a bio if needed.

I’m really happy you saw him. He’s always there for you as are all of my characters. I totally agree. He’s a very gorgeous guy and RenSStudios did a spectacular job making him. I just haven’t had the chance to getting much art of him yet.
