I once had a story idea where a race were living under ground in a huge cave that had a big crystal seam along the top that provided light like the sun, its glow would travel across it as the day went on and it would change color like the sun would too.

That is a really great establishing shot of Crystal's Heart. I like the idea of a giant crystal acting as a light (and I assume also heat) source for them.
