how on earth do you ask to play mascot at one of these things without looking crazy? 'So yeah, I got this...costume that just happens to be hanging in my closet and I was wondering if you'd let me prance around in it for you...for free of course!' Around here we'd be shot and mounted on a wall, and not in any good way.
