In an effort to get answers from the mercenary, Jack, Ace tails him into the forest to force the info out, by any means necessary.
After an arduous, destructive battle in which Ace tires himself out, Jack emerged victorious. Inpressed by Ace's determination, he heals the Hero apprentice.
Just before Ace passes out he hears one last thing: "I'm sorry."
