I've been feeling a distinct lack of bird character in my life, and I thought it was high time to create one. Wanted to kind of go for an un-commanding but overcompensating dork type character. After a few hours of distracted designing, I can introduce to the world: Clifford Gene McKenzie, the Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo. Call him Gene, because he gets flustered if his first name is mentioned. He's a bit of a nerd but he plays to his strengths; it's hard to argue with his handsomeness.
Gonna be honest, I think there may still yet be revisions in order, as I think certain details might need tweaking for me to be pleased with the result. That being said, I am quite happy with this initial character design, and I plan on keeping him and using him regularly.
Probably going to create my ceremonial first piece of artwork for him soon.
