Nor have you yet seen a Stegosaurus subjected to the effects of a "dirty" thermonuclear explosion at point-blank range.
We are both old enough to remember that, back during the Cold War, the greatest catchall explanation for any assumption of super-powers was "radiation".
I don't know how much of a 'Zillamaniac you are, but check this series of vids out, from the guy behind the Angry Video Game Nerd series on YouTube. I'll start you off with #1...

Oh I certainly seen and LOVED most of the Godzilla and Gamera movies during my childhood. I was born in 1965 and I'm 45 now. Back then on most TV stations they played weekend monster films and in Chicago some of the old independant stations showed Japanese monster films and shows like Ultraman and Specteman and Giant Robot, ext. Then in 1090,Fox brought out every independant TV station and plays nothing but crap now,SciFi Channel never plays Godzilla and Gamera films, and now we need VHS and DVD players to see our favorate Japanese monster films. And oh yes,I remember the early 1980s nuclear war horror films like The Day After and Threads,I was kinda scared shitless if World War III ever began. Continued...
I do subscribe to a favorate fan written based Godzilla/Gamera/Ultraman and Japanese science fiction magazine called G-Fan. Please go to this website for subscription info plus info on a Chicago based family friendly Godzilla convention called G-FEST,which I personally attended for years since 2001.

Godzilla seems like a invincible natural animal detity or non god like Hercules,a destined beast of unstopable power to defend Earth from both Mankind and invading axis aliens. If Godzilla made a guest appearance in a Land Before Time cartoon,he;d be called "GREAT SHARPTOOTH" and killing the "DRAGONS" called Ghidorahs who attack Earth.
My most huge favorate G-film is certainly Godzilla 1985,and I lived through the jolly era of Ronald Reagan. I graduated from High School in 1984-the same year of George Orwell's "1984",where Mankind is led by a dictatorship and overlord domination control over all of us.
Thankfully we haven't yet been nuked, but our new 21st Century is becoming a huge major neverending cluster(BLEEP) of corporation and government incompetence and threatening global ctiminal terrorism. And is this Earth getting awfully hot now too? Oh,since the North Pole is melting, you better remember this,
BEWARE OF THE BLOB!!!! The Blob was also a favorate film of mine.

And I also got both versions of Gojira 1954/Godzilla King Of The Monsters on both VHS and DVD. I saw the Toho original with English subtitles of Gojira 1954 and the original Toho Godzilla Returns 1984 WITHOUT Raymond Burr. I like these with all the Japanese story-but still I also watch and enjoy the American versions with Raymond Burr. Oh,during G-FEST this year,I met Toho vetran actor Akira Takarada, who was a guest at G-FEST and starred as hero Ogata in the 1954 Godzilla film. He is quite a wonderful gentleman and gave a wonderful session on Saturday about his work on film.
