I created Mameaha in 2007. Her name comes from the Sweet older Geisha that trains Sayuri in "Memoirs of a Geisha" and the last name of my utmost favoured/loved Mangaka Hisaya Nakajo. Mameaha was the first character I ever made that didn't have super powers, an unrealistic past [fantasy etc] , animal parts or otherwise out of the ordinary qualities. She is pure human and I love her to death. She is made up of my love for children / wanting to be a mom, the 'seeing the good in someone' qualities i lack, and an overall general good natured human being that is just living day by day just like anyone else. I only wish I could share with you all my feelings I have/get when I draw her,which is unfortunately not enough. I had family staying with me and even though my Oma , Opa, and lil cousin Lara are still here,I nearly bawled seeing the others go. It seems like I need to be in a strange or estranged mood to draw her..I guess its to keep her special.....anyway,heres her back story,I hope it brings some interest - not for pageviews or anything,but maybe she can make someone else happy like she does me. <3 Dalisha [i might colour ]



Mameaha Nakajo was born in Okinawa Japan on Feb. 16, 1983. She grew up with her Mother ,Father and Grandmother until she was around twelve when er Grandmother passed away and her parents no longer wanted to live on the farm they had for all her young life. Within two years she moved to
Chiba Japan. She was alright there, it was still a rural area just off the coast of Tokyo and It was almost like still living in the country.

After her father got a promotion at work, they moved to Urawa. Mameaha studied and went to college when she was around 19. Her already elderly parents grew ill around that time and her Mother passed away a year after she graduated. Her father got well and started his career as a school principal for a JR High Near Urawa.


Mameaha married at the age of 21.Her husband's name was Shinichiro Watanabe, he worked on the police force at a downtown station. They were to have a child together,but on his way home from work,he was stopped by a theif's brother ,murdering him for capturing the alleged family member . After this, Mameaha became very sick with depression.The baby was lost in a miscarriage and her world seemed to collapse. She Had hardly gone outside , nor did she work enough to pay her bills. Her Father begged her to work as a nurse or at least a substitute at the Jr High. Finally she agreed and she stayed with him in Urawa for the time being. There she met a teacher by the name of Hatsuou Obata. He was so charming and so loving to her that she immediately fell in love. She was so weak hearted and naive ,and to be comforted day in and day out after such depression , she was infatuated with this man and called it love. They married when she was 23. Hatsuou began to drink , and in this he lustfully took Mameaha in and she became pregnant again. When he was sober ,he was infuriated and forced her into abortion claiming that the child wasn't his ,that he did not remember having sex with her at all. He told her that she must have slept around ,and dismissed her pleas. Mameaha mourned ,having lost her second child. Eventually she came across mysterious notes and marks on his clothing. He was caught cheating and he left her soon after ,his last words along the lines of " Didn't need your pathetic ass anyway.."

Once again Mameaha was hospitalized for her depression. Her Father had passed away ,her relatives were so far away in Okinawa ,and the assumed love of her life left her with nothing but an empty home. Unable to stay in Urawa for memories sake ,she moved to quiet Osaka. Now,at the age of 24 ,she lives on her own. But with smiles. She always had a good heart , and she always would. She thought about her mother and father ,and she knew they wouldn't want her to give up. She had wasted too much time almost dying and began to realize that there are too many opportunities to let life go. She is unable to have children , but she loves the children she takes care of as a substitute teacher. Mameaha also owns a flower shop down the street from her home which brings in great money. Considering she lives near a temple and a school zone. During certain seasons people will flock toward The "Blossom Heart" . Everyone knew her name , her face..but not her past. Under her big smiles and optimistic words, was resting a broken heart. Yet , despite it all , she kept her will and never looked down.
