Zayefrita Blaise is an ignan ascetic from the Order of the Secret Fire, an elusive and motley coalition of loosely-associated individuals endeavoring for the protection of the Prime Material against the incursions of otherworldly threats. Being an ignan ascetic means that Zayefrita was born fire genasi, suffused with the searing energy of the Elemental Plane of Fire coursing through her veins.

Children of her ilk are oft repudiated by their parents, for they have a tendency to be quick-tempered -even when held to the standards of recalcitrant children- with outbursts manifesting themselves in literal wildfires. Being outcast from the crib doesn’t promise a good faith, but Zayefrita was luckily taken under the wing of a member from the Order who was tasked to visit the regional orphanages to scour for potential recruits.

Even within their sanctum where she was taught how to root out the wicked with divination magic and abjure them with the inferno that was her bloodright she felt ostracized. Indeed, Zayefrita’s mastery of her powers was growing at an alarming rate everyday, but this came at the cost of flamboyant displays that scared the other pupils.

Solitude gnawed at her mind like chittering pests, causing her predispositions for anger and recklessness to stick out like a sore thumb. The mastery she acquired through years of painstaking efforts seemingly started to dwindle, fiery incidents and squabbling with the masters became more frequent as a result.

Noticing this, the head of the Order, a dragonborn, tasked Zayefrita with a quest for penance: Alone and without rations, she’d have to venture to the barren mountaintop close to where their headquarters were located to reconcile herself with what used to be her strength.

When she came back after weeks of silence, it was with a calm smile and a flaming sprite hovering to her sides that she strode forth and asked to be dispatched for her first assignment.

She was ready.

Passionate and genuine, Zayefrita is a rumbling keg of emotions ready to explode. She can be quick to judge and has a strong personality. Despite all this brashness, the fire genasi is a golden-hearted, steadfast ally who ferociously protects who and what she cherishes.
