so this was an old livestream doodle that i felt like fully coloring and shading because. yosuke is now yosukitty (or yosukat if you purrfur), and thats all there is to say about this.
well actually thats not quite true. i might have come up with another fun little P4 AU to justify all these transformations i force upon poor Yosuke here (and sometimes his partner). the rules are concepts aren't concrete but basically, upon defeating one's shadow, instead of getting a persona, they get some sort of superpower of some sort. but like, the superpower is kinda designed to me massively unhelpful for them, or it lacks some required secondary power, or it just feeds on their insecurities or something. for example, Kanji's power could be Strength, a standard super strength power, but with no strength control making doing the textile work he enjoys doing super hard for him post-shadow defeat, or Chie being Domination where her words can compel people, but she can't turn it off, so she has to try to watch what she says super carefully, which is something she's not the worst at, but she is definitely not the best at either. powers like those.
Now for Yosuke, while his shadow mostly portrays him as an aloof and bored pseudo-sociopath, his social link mostly makes it clear yosuke is a bit a people pleaser. he is fairly quick to help people, even if they don't really deserve his help, and while he might complain about it if he has a repertoire with them (ie: Chie) he does just kind of let people walk all over him. he is even willing to go way further than you'd expect, an kind of does so rather casually (see him just basically adopting Teddy as a younger brother like its nothing). it makes him very dependable person to those that care about him, and a very easy person to use by people who don't. this kind of mentality (along with his own general insecurities and temperament that make him so fun as a TF victim) gives him the power Mallable, shapeshifting basically, but without the ability to directly control it. or at least, the people around him and his environment seem to have a greater control over what form he takes than he himself does.
oh, and for the curious, Yu's power in this AU, which he seems to have at the start without needing to defeat his shadow, is Mirror, the ability to copy other people's power, holding only 1 at a time, and usually without the downside. Yu's Strength is perfectly controllable, his Domination can be turned on and off at will, and his Mallable.... well, given how his own power works, Yu is still quite susceptible to Mallable's outside influences, though he does have a small bit better at controlling it while he has it.
also who knows maybe this is in the x-men or BHA universes now, idk. I don't know much about either fandom really XP
