A winged mario cap made on -extremely- short notice for a friend's cosplay. They supplied the hat, i did everything else.
7 hours, 45 minutes almost nonstop sewing.
at least 5 minor hand wounds.
my last good needle snapped in half.
nerves frayed all to hell for both me and my bf (as I drove him nuts swearing and spazzing every few minutes due to the damned needle breaking.)
The wings are a little lopsided but... the sick part is I kinda like it. It's progress. An accomplishment. And one I vow to NEVER DO AGAIN in that short of time. @_@
The lovely model for the cap, though its too big for her, is Jennifer. She is a life sized child doll I have had since I was her...age? Is that right? Maybe her height? She and I shared clothes when I was little, and it's one of my old outfits that she wears now.
I'd like to get her hair re-seeded someday. She thins with age. But her eyes still sparkle with mischief :)
