Welp, at the crack of Friday dawn, I'm off to New Mexico, to see a long-time Net friend I've never seen in person before. I got an inflatable mattress, sleeping bag, food, water, money, an umbrella, spare clothes, extra ammo.....Wish me luck!

Sounds like fun. The extra ammo part sounded ominous but knowing how you enjoy shooting guns changed that pretty quick. Have a great time!

Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.

(Interesting fact I just learned on the Hour of Slack: If you watch the original clip, Slim Pickens is saying 'weekend in Dallas'. Strangelove was released shortly after JFK was assassinated, so they redubbed the line.)

This is so wonderful.

Except the fact that the media actually have quite a lot more tendency to make everything sound worse than it is, rather than making it sound better. They live of selling scandals and crisis's.
