Aldusa spends as much time with her child as she can because the father of the kid left her and she had to raise him by herself. But even so, that only made it so she kept Duradel close and safe due to him gaining the father's traits of being blind due to his part bat traits. She hopes he will eventually gain the ability to see as that apparently happens when they grow up, but since Duradel is a mixed kid she worries about that not happening. Regardless of what the future might hold Aldusa will take him wherever she travels and make sure no harm falls upon her son.
