An npc for my dnd game, which is friends with one of my player characters.
Axoth: Was born to one of the most savage tribes of the Vroxidals he belonged to the bloodbath tribe. Members of this tribe lived to their title by leaving nothing but blood and gore in their wake, being a natural born killer he was quickly made into a mighty bloodthirsty warrior. He spent much of his years as a guard for his camp neverly really able to participate in the battles himself, that was until he finally managed to become a full member of their raiding groups against other Vroxidal tribes. Upon finally being able to witness battle first hand Axoth was mortified. He saw members of his tribe rip and tear their way through the forces of both old and young. The blood frenzy his body wished to partake in was quelled by the faint innocence and fear in the back of his mind. One day he was ordered to attack a town and to prove himself a member of the Bloodbath tribe he was tasked to slaughter a woman and her children, he couldn't pull himself to fully manifest his blood rage, some voice in the back of his mind kept holding it back. He couldn't force himself to do it and challenged the tribe leader. He lost horribly, his tail beong removed to show his weakness before he was exiled and discarded into the marsh like garbage. He waited in the marshlands for death to take him, he had no tribe, no honor, and no purpose. But as he lay there waiting to perish a fancy wagon came down the road and got assualted by bandits. He could have watched, he could have done nothing, yet that voice that suppressed the rage remained silent as his blood boiled towards the bandits assualting the carriage. After annihilating the bandits his rage subsided before a dragonborn walked out and thanked Axoth for helping them out. The feeling he got from helping those that could not help themselves filled him with a strange kind of joy. The dragonborn offered Axoth a place in a band of friends he had, a group in where he could do more good. Axoth did not hesitate and accepted the offer with enthusiasm, his will to go on returning as a new purpose in his life was given. Once he joined the group he became a lot happier finally finding something worth fighting for.
