I was planning on commissioning something like that from her, yeah! I haven't figured out the exact details yet though, I'm not yet sold on my ideas of how the kids should look

Usually when I'm trying for different and interesting fur patterns on my characters I try to search for dog/cat/whatever breed mixes. Your guy right there looks like a Bernese Mountain Dog or a Black Shiba Inu (mostly because of the curly tail) while she reminds me of a Basenji or a regular Shiba Inu (minus the tail), so you might wanna take a look on mixed dogs from those breeds to get you some idea about how the pups can turn out.
