Vrutias has hired Atano for his personal protection. However, the big lizard first needs to prove his manly toughness. Unfortunately, the Bikini Bottom Naval Buddies aren't around, so this sort of test will have to do.
One of my favorite tickle scenes growing up was the sequence with Baloo in The Jungle Book, so I was delighted to have been given instructions to create something directly based on that.

With his imposing height and muscular build, I imagine that Atano will make for an effective bodyguard in terms of intimidation and that he'd be a strong and tough fighter in physical confrontation. Vrutias demonstrates the trickiness, use of magic and wits that can also be just as effective, so with the kobold's brains and the Argonian's brawn I think they'll do well together.
I wonder if there will be further excuses for Vrutias to tickle Atano, like wanting to help him try to overcome his weakness or the prospect of a pay rise if the Argonian can hold out a certain length of time before giving in.
