One of the many daughters of Maua, Raquell never really imagined herself becoming a future leader of the Udevu, assuming that that role would someday be passed on to one of her older sisters. But Badriyah was forced to leave after losing to their mother in a mashindano and Moza and Kinah left with a roving male to start a new mob, which left her as the oldest of Maua's daughters still living in the mob. Even then, Raquell never really imagined herself becoming a leader someday.

That all changed one day when the Udevu suffered a group split, with Raquell leading one half. Raquell struggles with the role that was suddenly thrust upon her and ends up losing the group's two youngest pups to the desert, and the stress of being a first time leader combined with the ongoing drought causes her to lose a pup that she was pregnant with. Not long afterwards, her family end up encountering Azee, a lost pup who had accidentally been abandoned by the Vijana Mob. Having just lost her own pup, Raquell takes him and adopts him as her son. She and her siblings end up reuniting with Maua and the rest of the Udevu not long afterwards, and Raquell hands the role of leadership back to her mother without a fight. Raquell is now back in the role of subordinate and is content with caring for the adopted Azee, but she soon ends up having to become a leader once again.

After her mother dies from a snake bite, Maua ends up becoming the new leader of the Udevu, with her younger half-brother Machanga becoming the dominant male by her side. Raquell's reign is a bit chaotic at first with males leaving to find new breeding opportunities elsewhere and her sister Malene taking one half of the group with her to form a new mob called the Azizi. The group struggles to produce litters due to them being without an unrelated male, but Raquell manages to have a litter of two pups sired by a roving male named Wemusa. At one point the Udevu shrinks to just a handful of members and Raquell ends up being bitten by a snake while defending her family just like her mother before her, but unlike Maua she ends up living to tell the tale.

Raquell's reign ends up being cut short when she is suddenly killed while the group is out looking for a new burrow one day. Now the oldest female left in the group, her niece Sofia succeeds her as the new leader of the Udevu.

I decided to do Rocket Dog next. I've always found her to be such an interesting meerkat, a young female trying to live up to the legacy her mother left behind. It's a shame that her reign didn't last very long.
