Kar Zec is a T'vaoan Kig-Yar who was born at the bottom of society and painstakingly worked his way up to the rank of Murmillo. A rank he had achieved just weeks before the battle of Reach. During this months long battle, He would find himself as one of the few survivors of his squad and even one of the few remaining T'vaoans on the planet. After the battle, he had been promoted the the rank of Commando, to the irritation of many, as they felt that he was too new to his original role, and that it was unearned. Despite this knowledge , he carries his achievements with pride and seeks to prove his people wrong.
