Here is my finished maquette for my fantasy figure assignment in my 3D class.
It is called a Seirath. The name literally translates to "hairy, goat demon." Seirath live in very remote mountainous regions, because they are highly solitary creatures. But because the regions are so remote, they have to travel down in to the valley to find food.
They primarily feed on mountain goats, alpaca, and other mountainous herbivors, but have no hesitations about gobbling up human mountain dwellers. They are gluttons and will continue to eat well after having their full. After this, they then make the journey back up to their homes and remain in a lethargic, near trance-like state of digestion. This is also when Seirath are at their most vulnerable.
Also, because of these frequent trips, Seirath have no ears due to the pain the constant pressure changes would inflict on them. Their horns are also hollow to help control altitude pressure throughout it's body.
They are sight and scent orientated, and diurnal (active during the day.) The only distinguishing features between the male and female is that the males have beards. This one, of course, is female.
Seirath are completely my own creation. Any resemblance to any other works are solely coincidential.
I would have painted it but I didn't know what to do. Any opinions for a color scheme?
