Gadgets & Refits, my new book for Starfinder RPG, is available now as pay-what-you-want! (Meaning: if you're broke, you can still get it for free!)
35 pages of magical mischief and biotech gizmos, complete with NPCs to sell them and a new RP-fueled temporary bonus system. And of course I made it as furry as possible. ; )

Thanks! The illustrator and I had a lot of fun with the expansion bays. Seemed like a great place to develop some modular options, since a self-contained package is a quick way to make ships unique and better suited to their specific purpose. The NPCs happened organically—as I was writing these, I wondered what kind of people would sell all this weird stuff. At first, they were just in the flavor text, but eventually I figured NPCs are always useful to me as a DM.
So far, my absolute favorites are the Glue Pistol, the Paradox Coffee Pot, and the Spa Organ. I also am seeing a bunch of things that are definitely going to be showing up at some point in the game I'm running, as my players are starting to establish a settlement on a planet that needs some rehabilitation. I'm not sure if their rice is going to come in Rainbow or UPB variety, but both would be useful, as is some of the habitation tech you've got in the Planetside Tech section.
That being said, I did note that there are a few items that grant advantage on rolls. I only recently learned what that meant, cause it's not really a phrasing that Starfinder uses. I'm not sure if it's like "tapping a card" in Magic, but it's not something that's ever mentioned like that. Usually, the way it's phrased in Starfinder is "reroll a/the {type of roll(s)} (and take the higher result)", to call out specifically what rolls it's applicable to, and if you get to take the better result, or if you're stuck with the second result regardless.

The Glue Pistol filled a niche I noticed when reading the corebook: the scarcity of wacky sci-fi nonlethal weapons. It just seemed like something that would exist, especially in a relatively cheap and low-tech role. The Paradox Coffee Pot came about when a friend was asking what Starfinder version of D&D's fine art treasures would be—something without obvious uses to adventurers, but clearly of value.
Ah, the Spa Organ. I wanted the alien bio-ships to be super weird. That is the point, after all. So I tried to think of something the bug people would think was nifty that everybody else would be freaked out by.
Good to hear you'll be getting some use out of the Planetside Tech section. I included it because so much game time is spent in settlements, but most of the cool toys are intended for spaceships.
Hmm, I may have to tweak it! I probably have too much D&D on the brain. X)
