Because I spontaneously and unexpectedly figured out crilxoid's future. Lore-wise that is.

Basically, goes as follows-
[Past/current]
Crilxoid, as we all know, had a very bright and colorful culture before the fallout. But, what we don't know is...they looked different as well, almost magical.
Once Ex-Sovereign Donna Gaelan took office she was the one who implemented the plant-parasite into society. When the parasite took hold, it drained the energy from its host and caused them to take on a less magical, more dull physical appearance. Shorter ears, antennae replaced by the plant, two milky white eyes, and no flowers. Donna, then, gaslighted everyone into believing that things had always been this way. This is the reason all "duds" (truly, natural crilxoid) are killed upon birth. It's not that the parents want to. It's that it's the law, and not killing the child at once will lead to the parents themselves getting a death sentence as punishment for being unruly. It was also said that killing the plant caused the host to die, but rather, killing the plant does no more than release the host and allow them to take on their natural appearance.

[Future]
The world was successfully gaslighted until current Sovereign Aeryn Gaelan, and her returned Right hand man Commander Sprout Adrot unexpectedly discover the truth when Sprout's well..sprout gets sliced off in a fight with a civilian (this is after the zombies have been nearly eradicated) Sprout instantly dropping to the ground, the civilian thought they had murdered the commander, and her highness was about to get physical. That is, until strange things began to happen to the so-called corpse and they woke up a few moments later. Aeryn and the civillian stopped immediately and their jaws dropped when Sprout looked at them with ten (main right eye still covered with eyepatch) confused eyes. While Aeryn rushed over, the civilian made a run for it. Upon inspection, past the noticable differences such as ears and eyes. They had two antennae in place of what was previously a thorny shoots as well as multi-colored flowered intertwined with their hair strands. Out of pure curiosity, Aeryn removed her hat and attempted to slice her own plant, or rather deadly flower. Once again, she immediately dropped and woke a few moments later, Sprout still too dazed to stop her. When she awoke moments later, it was apparent what had to happen. Immediately she drug them to her office and made official announcements that every individual must chop their sprout, or risk having someone else chop it. As more and more folks did so, it's clear what had happened, and that Aeryn's deceased mother was behind it all. As society realizes this, they embrace their natural forms and ditch the dusty old dystopian lives. Returning to their life before the fallout, as population had practically replenished by now. Aeryn was crowned queen, as well as Sprout keeping their position as right hand man, but dropping the title of commander. Crilxoid society also slowly moved away from consuming meats, and moved toward mainly consuming fruits and seeds, just like nature had intended.


The crilxoid's "awakened" form, is quite a bit more colorful than their "typical" appearance. They appear much less sinister and are even a lot less tense and more relaxed, rather than aggressive. They are finally free.

This is all for lore purposes and rps that take place in the future! Nothing is changing with Sprout or Aeryn currently!! They're staying the same as the awakening takes place in the future. But I will be incorporating it into my story!!
