Trivia: While Abraham Lincoln is commonly depicted with a deep voice, his voice was actually high-pitched, with some comparing it (unfavorably) to a steam whistle. This was actually useful at the time, since high-pitched voices can be heard from further away than deep ones.
Trivia 2: In the first version of the speech, given impromptu at the White House when the capture of Gettysburg was announced, he actually said "eighty-odd years since". But "fourscore and seven years ago" does sound a lot fancier.
