For  Eyrich's monthly Art Challenge: June 2021 = "Morning Routine." This is my take. ;]

Might be a bit of a hot take but when I finished this piece, I made sure to crop it. :] Cuz you know what it's about, right from the get-go. Took a long time. Originally I was gonna go through a lot of my early thumbnail sketches of the whole morning sequence but quickly I dropped that cuz I figured that'd be way too ambitious and honestly would take over a year to render the whole set if I actively did that with this level of fidelity, daily. xD So there! (Even sketched out a version with my boyfriend's character; as if a solo wasn't already huge)

Don't mind the scaled gluteus maximus crack though xP Also if you look closely, the watch says 4, implying 4 in the morning.

Fun fact: This is a hybrid-medium piece. The character was rendered in graphite, pen, and colored pencil at first, then scanned, cleaned up & around (pun intended), and then everything else was rendered via digital painting & editing, mostly through Photoshop.

It's supposed to show what he's doing BEHIND the glass door. (pun intended again, gwahaha)
