This is a very disturbing trend. Wild animals, even when rescued, are not meant to be pets. If you are trained, qualified, and licensed, and keep the animal well cared for and it leads a good life, great. But I've been in the wolf business for decades and have seen all to often the results of someone wanting to keep a wild animal and even those with best intentions end up being the cruelest of owners.
I have a very, very bad feeling about this trend.
I must say that if you WERE a responsible caregiver/rescuer, you would have a disclaimer about having a wild animal for a pet. Don't leave it to us advocates to do it for you. If you care, make sure others do too.

These are two sites I recommend if you're new to keeping foxes. One is a blog and information site of an experienced fox owner, the other is a message board where fox owners among many other exotics and pets. If you have problems you can go there.
Always remember a fox is not a dog and the minute he enters your home you'll be living in his home for the rest of his life. They are more like cats, they are very intelligent and you need to be aware of their behaviour as some will be destructive. Give it an enclosure, as well as a place inside, make sure to spend most if not all of your free time with the fox to keep it social and pay attention to your local laws and to your neighbours. Make sure he has a bright and well visible harness and tags all the time so if the fox ever were to escape and approach humans they do not think he is a rabid fox or anything.
