my first rave was HILARIOUS
I think it was Anthrocon 09
It was just pasty faced nerds swinging around these lights on ropes and trying desperately not to hit themselves and one guy was rolling around on the floor next to the waters
So we just started a conga line and skanked the whole time since I don't know how to rave dance, but it was still such a fucking turn off. I also like how the "DJ" just pressed play on iTunes, threw a visualization up on the screen, and went to chill with his friends
it's like since when did you have to stop trying to be a dj

UGH some friends dragged me to a rave, and i ran into people from earlier on in my life there, so it was pretty cool in that respect, but jesus christ the music was dumb and i don't understand making it your life. I don't think any of the music was truly danceable or anything either.
