Dang, I had forgotten I've had Bourbon this long. Here's the very first picture I ever drew of her. Note the hidden hands because I couldn't draw them back then. The newer Bourbon's hands are covered just because I liked the pose.

She looks a lot more rat-like in your newer version. The eyes & muzzle, I think. Older version looks a little lion-like - were you on lionking.org too? XD

I can't believe you picked that out! I was a huge Lion King fan and wanted to be able to draw like that. I'm so glad I grew out of that phase and started doing my own thing.

The first art site I joined was lionking.org and I was pretty obsessed with it when it was still in it's "good old" days...XD so it's easy to notice consistencies in the style XD
But yeah, I know what you mean: best to have your own style :) Definitely.

My first site was Elfwood, and I think I still have a gallery up there from like 2002 (oh the shame)
I was a huge lurker at lionking.org and never made my own account. That was back when I was just getting my feet wet and I was intimidated by all the good artists.
