The fifth entry into the Flowtac series...
I know it has been a long while since I last posted anything, and normally I post a Flowtac portrait in between photomanipulations. I was working on a trade with toekneebob but have lost touch with him due to him being very busy, therefore I don't have the last bit I need to complete the piece I was designing for him. I've also been dying to make a new piece but don't have anything to work with for the moment.
So I started looking through old photos I took "in character" and found one that inspired me. The final version was heavily influenced by a excessive combination of "Desert Rose" by Sting & "Precious" by Depeche Mode. Now, there was actually a lot of photomanipulation work for this one. All the hair is photoshopped in as I was out of wig when I took this photo. I also stretched out the face a little bit in order to accentuate the beast-like appearance to my face and to keep the photoshopped hair from interferring. Cropped in my wife's hand, used a few artistic filters & a diffuse glow, getting the final result seen here.
I actually like this one a lot. It's very tender and heartfelt to me. Granted, it may be a little cliche but I can deal with it if everyone else can. Besides, it was about time we saw a sentimental side to Flowtac.
