I don't know if you've heard of VeggieTales - a Christian show I adore - but there's a GREAT quote that totally relates to this situation. It's from their episode "Rack, Shack, and Benny":
Mr. Lunt: "I believe the tomato is sitting."
Bob The Tomato: "I'm standing."
Lunt: "Sitting."
Bob: "Look, this is sitting and this is standing. I'm standing."
Lunt: "Okay, he's standing."
