An unexpected surprise! I was reviewing the scene of the "Final Xros" Digimon Xros Wars and guess who I saw. Leomon Former MadLeomon among the Digimon of the Digital World that comes form Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode. So it can be said that Leomon survived at least at this end a series of Digimon.

Leomon shouldeden't die, he should live to bust again in some other dimension. All hail leomon, and all digimon because you know without them we could have never had a better childhood. We would have been stuck with jackie chan adventures and that somewhat retarded godzilla animated crap.
Wanna know what? I'm tired. Fed up to believe, have faith, and hope on a character who is unworthy of it. I speak, of Leomon, of series of Digimon. It's been more than 15 years of anime and manga series of Digimon, and in all these series, without exception, Leomon NEVER survived until the last episode. If he is really a "hero" he is the pathetic sense, loser, and, defeatist, this word.
He looks more like a cartoon character like Tom and Jerry or Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, that no matter how many times has the head struck by a baseball bat, no matter how many times often it is crushed by a weight of 10 thousand tons no matter how many times cut in half by an ax, no matter how many times he has to face exploded by firing a hunting rifle never tires of being beaten, and being humiliatingly defeated and detonated and always comes back to ask for detonate more .
15 Years. 15 long, tiresome and fruitless years of Digimon in that Leomon had all possible opportunities to "be a hero" in fact, make a difference, and arrive alive at the end of his series, anime, and manga, of Digimon yet who ever did because it's one of those characters support made solely to pose as a hero but whose lack harms no one in the anime is not real obstacle for the main characters.
In fact, the only "real usefulness" of Leomon, as a character, is to serve as "furry gay icon," gay fetish of fantasies homosexuals, not an individual, neither a character nor a being worthy , respect, admiration, or love of the fans and serve only as "inspiration" to produce "furry porn art" of the most varied, indecent and unhealthy types, this was the only "usefulness" Leomon had in these 15 years of Digimon series. I'm tired of it, and tired of believing, that Leomon someday live ended, a series of Digimon. If one day it will not happen by "merit of Leomon" but only because it was convenient for the authors of the Digimon series.
But anyway, turned up a troll joke on the internet, saying that, "Leomon came in, an anime series Digimon, we can count in fingers, your lifetime ...". And I'm tired of cheering for someone who is not worthy of the faith that you deposit.. Tired. Leomon never more ...

You know why he dies every season? I have a theory:
Each season is written the way it always plays the same story.
Each season has a story that doesn't retrospect or connect to the previous season's results ( Maybe except 1 and 2 season.).
They share same characters, but they still follow the same story. Over and Over.
Leomon would have died once, if it was intended to connect all the seasons to one big story line. And after be someone steam rolling the plot.
So I can say, that if you watched one of the seasons of Digimon, you saw them all.
My first season I watched is Tamers. I shall keep it that way.
All seasons share same tropes and other details, with varying performance quality.
So Leomon is stuck in a perpetual cycle of "Sacrificial Lion" trope, whose lesson of death varies in quality.
in Tri's case, it's a terribly mishandled trope without any actual adequate point to make his death redeemable.
Death comparison:
I didn't read the Homestuck comic, but as I understood - All main characters die over and over, yet it seems people still like that comic a lot.
I suppose, the author wrote a well written story with well written death moments, that still make the story interesting and giving something else.
"trope" is a tool. Writer either carves something good out of it, or carves something horrendous and laughable.
I suggest to play some Digimon themed games, where Leomon is presented in other way. Like in some old RPG's of PS1 era, or that MMORPG on Digimon.
Speaking of sexual fantasies: It's a completely normal case, that he's a sex icon. I'm cool with that depiction of him. And It's easier to draw more attention, because he's a media product.

The Truth About Leomon
It's just that I do not "hate" him. I know I've already stated that I "hated" him but as they say it takes a lot of courage to review an opinion and realize that you were tremendously wrong in taking a certain opinion on a certain character and after much reflection I finally realized that I, in reality, "I not hate Leomon."
What I "hate" is in fact the stupid and vulgar way that Toei-Bandai insists on wasting he over 16 years in a row from different Digimon series. I still love him as my greatest idol, my greatest example of courage and moral righteousness, my most dignified and noble in the fine sense of this word hero of the Digimon series. Only being a hero of the noblest and most complete Leomon would bear the indignity of being trolling for 16 years followed by Toei-Bandai who insinuates angrily refusing to allow a single Leomon of the Digimon series to survive until the end of their respective series of Digimon .
The truth is I do not "hate" Leomon I love Leomon. "I love" as an example of someone tremendously noble, virtuous and complete, "I love" as an example of a hero who, even struggling with an impossible cause, is not let down and goes to the end, however sad and bitter his end, "I love" my father, my brother, my grandfather, my nephew, my son, and I would love a relative or loved one who would be one of the most beloved and dear to me.
But what good is it if only I love you if nobody, absolutely NO ONE loves he the same way? What good is it for me to write fanfics with him, make fanarts with him and be the only one who thinks he's a charismatic character and who "always kills him with cruelty" is a waste of a great character if it seems that only me Think that ? No I do not want "pity" for Leomon what I want is for Toei-Bandai to stop trolling only him in the Digimon series and stop wasting it and give it due value and recognition. They are going to make 16 years of stupid and free deaths.
What is it that Toei is still waiting for at least ONE SINGLE LEOMON to survive until the end of a Digimon series? SO WHEN WILL THEY CONTINUE TO KILL AND WASTE HE ? I'm already 46 years old ... IS THAT I WILL DIE WITHOUT NEVER SEE LEOMON TO GET TO THE END OF A LIVE DIGIMON SERIES ??? Does not Toei alone see that he is committing a terrible injustice against a single hero of Digimon stupidly killing a character only out of spite? Do I only care?
Anyway I love Leomon because no one absolutely nobody loves and there must be a single person who loves Leomon as a hero a symbol and not merely as a "sexual object". Take away the love of a character and what is left over? Anything . I love Leomon as a hero who even knowing that he is going to die never shakes and never gives up and goes to the end even if it is dying pathetically and gratuitously. Leomon for 16 years faced with dignity all the deaths and trollings of Toei-Bandai and endured all the ridicule that was submitted by Internet trolls.
They say that one of the ways to measure the value of a hero is by the size of the sadness and by the emptiness in the heart that we feel with his lack and I certainly suffer every time the Toei-Bandai out of spite decides to kill a Leomon. I suffer and cry for it because nobody on the internet does it and someone needs to do it while it's still possible. At last this is my heartfelt hope that you understand ...
