Another pretty old model reupload
US soldier of the 1960s from a historical timeline in which the Soviet union was never formed. Instead Russia and several of its would be territories allied with the Axis powers during the second world war. The Americans faced a better equipped Japan and were unable to carry out many of their bombing operations.
US soldiers are equipped with nylon armor clothing to protect against small arms and fragmentation. Their armored vest consists of nylon with an early form of Kevlar woven between the inner and outer layers. The vest also has inserts for composite plates designed to stop heavier rounds, these are usually composite ceramic and fiberglass plates lined with steel or aluminum.
Helmets consist of textolite sandwiched between two steel layers, the inside lined with nylon. The helmets are equipped with a mounting point for monocular or binocular night vision scopes.
With the advent of advanced infantry protection the rifle of the US army uses .308 as standard.
