After many hard fought battles, Ethan noticed his glaive, the Tipedo, has started to crack along the edge of the blade. He knew if he kept battling with his weapon in this condition, it would surely break. So decided to visit the only person who taught him how to forge it in the first place. Ethan went on a solo mission to Astera, home to the smithy who found and raised him, upon entering the forge, he was extremely happy to reunite with his father figure once again. He explained the condition of his blade to him, and the smithy recommended that he upgrade it with parts from insanely strong monsters. So Ethan ventured to the guiding lands to search for a suitable monster for parts. Suddenly he heard an ear piercing explosion. He turned to his left to see a huge smoke cloud in the distance. Thinking it was a powerful monster, he went to investigate, and what he saw next made him guess right. He saw towering over a fallen monster, a Raging Brachydios, a Brachydios subspecies that was larger, stronger and extremely aggressive towards anything that moves. Ethan knew straight away that he found the right monster, and began to set a trap. He followed the monster closely on a cliff side and when he saw the monster stop for a moment, he used a small barrel bomb to cause some boulders to fall on the monster. As the bomb went off, Ethan didn’t expect it to cause a humongous cascade, burying the monster under a massive mound of boulders and sediment. Then with one final plunge, Ethan landed the final blow on the monsters head, killing it. But at the same time, he watched as the edge of the blade shatter into shards and pieces. After carving as many parts as he can carry, Ethan rushed back to the forge to repair and upgrade his glaive. 5 long hours have passed, and Pampaku Darny and Sandoku came to Astera to look for Ethan. When they asked the smithy about Ethan, he asked if they were his lost siblings, which the trio nodded their heads in agreement. The smithy introduced himself as Ethan’s farther figure and told the trio about Ethan when he was under the smithy’s care. Just as he was about to finish, Ethan came out of the forge, with his newly upgraded glaive in hand. The trio were astonished of the new glaive, which Ethan called the Raging Tipedo. Relieved that Tehan is safe, the four decided to return home, but not without Ethan saying goodbye to the smithy, whom he’ll visit again sometime.
