We got my man Lou AND a hand reveal!
A few days ago, I had a craving to do some sculpting and after like 9 hours of work, we have this!
There were a lot of first-time techniques that were wayyyy out of my comfort zone to make this, like using foil and wire armature, painting and dry brushing, and overall a more realistic and detailed approach. I have a long way to go with a lot of practice involved, but I can honestly say I'm very satisfied with it!
Here's some of my self criticism: face needs to be longer, plan ahead, don't go overboard with the paint idiot, be patient and careful.
Materials used:
Sculpey III polymer clay, black and white matte acrylic paint, mod podge, and a whole lotta patience.
For anyone who is experienced in polymer clay or sculpting at all, I will gladly take any constructive criticism, tips, and suggestions for my next sculpture (which will probably be Walter White from Breaking Bad for my brother's birthday)!
