In Taiyang, and in some parts of Tsukimi, you can find shops with statues of a golden cat with a paw beckoning you to enter. This is the image of the god Yongrui, bringing fortune to those who worship him. Do not be fooled into thinking Yongrui is a benevolent god who offers his blessing for free. He is well known as a greedy deity who demands payment for his aid one way or another, most preferred in the form of currency. The more that is offered, the more likely one is to earn his favor. Truly brave (or foolish) souls have been known to make wagers with Yongrui, in the hopes of not only getting his blessing but also a bounty of coins from his belly bank. Those who lose will often find something more precious then coin taken from them, and can range from a personal item of sentimental vaule, years of maturity, memories, and even their entire being, resulting in them becoming part of the massive collection of coins in his belly.
