Mizuki, Goddess of the Moon and Night Sky
Miszuki, Goddess of the Moon and Night Sky
Alignment: Lawful Good
In the land of Tsukimi, the sun never seems to fully raise, leaving the land in perpetual twilight even during the day. It is because of this that those who found themselves lost in this region of Mylk began to revere the moon as a sacred symbol, as it was the greatest source of light aside form the stars that surrounded them. As the small villages began to form together into a full nation, the moon became ingrained in every aspect of their culture, and it would be upon the completion of the first major shrine to the moon that the goddess Miszuki would make her presence known to the people. She serves as the patron Deity of Tsukimi, and is said to the twilight that covers the land are her wings shielding them islands from harsh sunlight. Like Maia, she is seen as a very maternal figure who cares deeply for her followers, and her temples are adorned with bright lanterns with the image the moon to light the way for those lost in the dark. It is said one can see an image of her in the moon if one looks up at the sky at night.
